Airframe Ultra Eight Days to Infamy: Launch Week Events

What is the Eight Days to Infamy event in Airframe Ultra?

Eight Days to Infamy is Airframe Ultra's launch week community celebration. According to the official Steam announcement, it runs from launch day, Nov 5, through Nov 12, with a new challenge and a one-of-a-kind prize every day, closing with a celebration livestream where all winners are announced. The announcement describes it as Akupara Games' way of celebrating "the opening of the circuits in style," open to "anybody out there" whether they played the betas or just picked up the game at launch.

What is the schedule of challenges?

According to the official Steam announcement, each day of launch week has its own category. The announced lineup is:

The separate fan fiction announcement notes its winner is decided on creativity and how well the entry fits the game's world and lore.

How do I participate?

According to the official Steam announcement, a new challenge goes live each day starting Nov 5, and it is posted in the Airframe Ultra Discord each day at 9AM Pacific. You then make something in that category and submit an entry.

The fan fiction announcement gives its own submission details: entrants must be 18 or older, only one entry per person is allowed, and it explicitly states "No AI!! Period." Entries are submitted through the linked Gleam.io page, and the fan fiction winner is announced on the 11/12 celebration livestream. Beyond the daily Discord posts and those fan fiction rules, no other per-category entry process is spelled out in the announcements.

What are the prizes?

The prizes are described as one-of-a-kind, and at least one is confirmed. According to the official fan fiction announcement, the winner of the fan fiction challenge receives a custom neon sign of Airframe Ultra.

For the other six challenge days, the announcements say only that each day has a prize on the line. The specific prize for each category is not listed in the announcements, so it is not officially documented yet.

When is the celebration livestream?

According to the official Steam announcement, the week closes on Nov 12 with a big celebration livestream, where every winner from the daily challenges is announced. The fan fiction announcement also refers to it as the celebration livestream on 11/12. That event is also where the winners of the challenges are crowned, so it is the one date worth keeping free if you entered anything during the week.
